The Competition will be included in the events calendar for “Brescia Bergamo Capitale Italiana della Cultura 2023”; for this reason, it takes its name from Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, the famous pianist from Brescia whose centenary was celebrated in 2020. The Competition is open to pianists of all nationalities, born after the 28th October 1993. To apply, they must send the organization a video recording to be evaluated for selection purposes. A maximum of 32 pianists will be admitted to the Competition. Brescia will welcome them in October 2023 when the Competition will start with three solo rounds. For the final round, a maximum of three pianists will be admitted and perform with the orchestra at Teatro Grande in Brescia. One of the peculiarities of the Competition concerns the pieces requested, which refer to some of the most refined pages loved by Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli.
